Class Rules and Procedures:
a. If you are absent you must bring me a make-up slip to be admitted back to class.
b. If it is an unexcused absence you will not be able to make-up your work.
c. Too many unexcused absences (10) and you will fail the class.
d. Sports/activity related absences: work must be completed before you get signed off.
e. Sometimes NOT ALL work can be made-up only written material. Get the notes from a classmate.
f. Extended absences: talk to me and Mr. Dan Peters.

a. No late homework or class work will be accepted.
b. You will lose points if your projects are late.
c. It is your responsibility to get the work before you leave for a family or school related function for example FFA, BPA, field trips, or athletic events (non-school sponsored and school sponsored).
d. If you absent you will receive one day for each absent plus an additional day.
e. If you are absent the day before the quiz or test you will get a couple of days to make-up your quiz or test. Talk to me to arrange a make-up time.
f. If you do not make-up your quiz or test in a timely fashion you will receive a ZERO.
7. Cheating/Copying is a serious matter:
a. Cheating on a Test or Quiz will result in an automatic zero on the Test or quiz.
b. First offense you will receive a referral and a one hour detention.
c. A more frequent problem is the copying of homework. Please have the courage to tell your
friend NO. This will also result in an automatic zero. Do your own work.
d. Copying will also result in 1 hour detention.
8. NO SODAS, FOOD, GUM OR SEEDS in class
NO food, pop, seeds, gum in class. You may have a bottle of water.
No cell phones, iPods, x-boxes, guitar heroes, or other games and technology are allowed in class.
Cell phones usage and/or texting in class will result in cell phone being confiscated and turned over to the principal plus a 1 hour detention.
9. Bathroom Passes:
a. Raise your hand, ask politely and fill-out your School Planner.
b. If your requests are excessive I will have to turn you down.
c. In case of emergency let me know.
10. School Equipment: It’s here for you to use the pencil sharpener, hole punch, stapler’s, etc. Please be respectful of the property. That includes your textbook. Be aware that there are charges for books that are damaged or lost. i.e. Cost to replace the textbook: U.S. History $100
11. GRADING: POINT SYSTEM:
A=90%-100% Tests = 200-300 points
B=80%-89% Projects = 100 points
C=70%-79% Quizzes = 100 points
D=60%-69% Assignments = 5-100 points
F=50%-59% Extra Credit (tbd)
Overall Grade: Tests/Quizzes 65%, Home/Classwork 35 %
Student’s need a 60% or higher to pass. Grades are posted and updated on a regular basis on the PASS Website.
