Welcome! I can't express how excited I am for school to start. I have been looking forward to meeting students and teaching the most fascinating subject out there.... Life Science!
A little bit about me.... I am from Denver, Colorado. I went to college at the University of Wyoming (GO POKES) and obtained a degree in biology education. This year I completed my Masters in science education through Montana State (Go Bobcats!). I moved up here five years ago with my fiance and have enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people this town has to offer as well as get the opportunity to teach in this fantastic school district!
I am ready for a fun and scientific school year! This year in class I am taking a different approach to teaching using interactive science notebooks. Students will use these to take notes in, do activities in, and to use as a journal/reflection notebook. I am hoping to have students bring them home for you to see a few times each semester so you can see all the learning your student is doing in science! I am really excited about these ISN's because they allows students to be real scientists!
